pete & Rach’s WEDDING

an intimate wedding ceremony

Pete and Rachel had been planning an intimate wedding not quite knowing what the rules would allow. As it turned out they had the very smallest amount of guests but still a huge amount of fun. We loved the excitement of everyone who got to celebrate with them.

Friends walked by the church before the ceremony to say hi and wish them well. Others waited to throw confetti after the ceremony. And a few picnicked nearby as they cut the wedding cake in the grounds of Lincoln Cathedral.

ST Peter’s Eastgate

Rachel arrived with her parents and the very closest family headed into the church for their simple ceremony. After they exchanged their vows Pete’s son did a reading and Rachel’s parents prayed for the couple. They signed the registers and the service was all done.

An outdoor wedding reception

After some family photos outside the church we led a mini procession of wedding guests round to the Lincoln Cathedral gardens. Pete and Rach snuck off for a few minutes to grab an ice cream and have some photos of the two of them together. Then in the cathedral garden they cut the wedding cake and popped a bottle of bubbly. It was a wonderful way to celebrate.
