ROSS & REBECCA’S WEDDING

Ross and his family are such precious family friends to Nom’s family- so it was a real delight to head up to Glasgow to celebrate as he married Rebecca.

The ladies got ready at Rebecca’s Mum’s house with their fingers crossed as one bridesmaid was flying in on the morning of the wedding. They all made it in time and got ready together (with a huge breakfast). Once they were all set we drove over to the Old Fruitmarket for the wedding.

One of the many wonderful things about Scotland is that couples can choose a faith ceremony in any wedding venue so Ross & Rebecca had their minister presiding in this beautiful building. The Old Fruitmarket was the perfect venue for them, its big so they were able to invite the whole crowd they wanted to have there. The guys got ready near to the venue and were there to meet the guests as they arrived.

The bridesmaids lead the procession followed by Rebecca and her brother. The service was very personal, a room full of friends with stories to share and lots to celebrate.

At the end we photographed family groups inside the ceremony room before heading out to the street with the bridal party for some fun shots. Insides guests mingled with canapés then moved through in to the huge hall for dinner. The top table VIPs made their grand entrance with the bagpiper and food was served. There were some cracking speeches especially from Ross’ brother Kenny.

More tables were set out as lots more guests arrived for and evening of dancing with One Night Stand band really rocking the space. Combining traditional ceilidh and more modern tunes. They made sure the final dance with the new Mr & Mrs was a great send off.
