DARREN AND KATIE’S WEDDING

This wedding was such a fun family celebration.

The guys got ready on site at the Wood Norton. Then headed downstairs to help with the finishing touches to the decoration. Meanwhile Katie was at her parents surrounded by bridesmaids and a gaggle of kids. As a wedding gift she gave all the little ones customised teddies. The Grandparents have soft play set up in the garage to keep the kids entertained, which was great fun to watch.

Katie rode in the wedding car with her Dad while the rest of us hopped in a luxurious stretch hummer to the venue. The kids loved having fancy drinks on the journey.

The wedding took place in a gorgeous wood panelled room at The Wood Norton. It was a sweet ceremony with their boys Jackson and Calvin wanting to be close to the action. They gave their their parents lots of cuddles throughout the vows. All four of them sat at the table for the signing of the register. Then with the formal proceedings wrapped up it was time for drinks and chatting.

We assembled some family groups and took the bride and groom for some photos in the gardens. Then everyone moved up to the Orangery and took their seats for the speeches. Katie’s Dad was first up and ended his speech with a song from Moana which his one of Jackson & Calvin’s favourites. Darren followed before Dale (the best man) took the chance to settle some grievances. We love that he managed to sneak in copies of the new MacDonald’s magazine featuring Darren on the cover. Guests had a good giggle reading the magazine as dinner was served.

As the room was reset for the party all the guests headed to the lawn for a big group picture. Evening guests began to arrive and Darren & Katie cut their wedding cake. Then the party really got going with guests of all ages joining in on the dance floor.
