BOBBY & STEPH’S WEDDING

- first lockdown lifting wedding in Rugby

It was so exciting to photograph Bobby & Steph’s wedding in Rugby after months of waiting and uncertainty. We really enjoyed seeing how their family and church pulled together to make it an incredible celebration. It sure was worth the wait.

wedding morning preparations

Steph’s morning looked a little different than she had originally planned, but it turned out to be really peaceful getting ready with just her family and hairdresser. Her bridesmaids took it in turns to pop round and cheer her on as she got ready too.

She made her way to church in the wedding car with her Dad then had time to spend with her bridesmaids before the service. It was lovely for them to share presents and pray together.

Church wedding ceremony

Their ceremony took place at Bilton Evangelical, which is their home church. The team there were really helpful in making the day a success. Bobby and the guys had a few finishing touches to put in place when they arrived.

As people arrived they were greeted with a beautiful wedding display and found their assigned seats in the church. The aisle was decorated with jam jars of flowers and the space looked wonderful.

virtual wedding guests

We loved the way these guys included their online guests during the wedding service. They even set up a screen at the back so in-person guests could see the online viewers. Many had made an effort to get dressed up, but more amusingly others were in their car or even in their tent on holiday. It was fun to see them join in with the service, answering questions and singing along. Some virtual guests shared greetings, prayers and readings during the ceremony from around the world.

At the end of the wedding Bobby & Steph had a moment took greet their online guests, then the small crowd who were there showered them with confetti as they set off for their mini wedding reception.

Relaxed wedding group photos and portraits

We found a small green space just down the road for some couples photos. We really don’t need much more than our couple just enjoying that newly married feeling to get lovely photos.

They booked a small restaurant for food with their nearest and dearest. Before it was time for them to be seated we gathered some group photos nearby.
