PETE & FRANCES’ WEDDING

Their engagement photos

in Birmingham

It’s been really fun getting to know Pete and Frances: we first met at his sisters wedding, then we got to hang out with them in Birmingham to take their engagement photos in a park before photographing their wedding in Wakefield.

Bride and Bridesmaids getting ready

I joined Frances for the morning getting ready at the Cedar Court Hotel Wakefield. She got ready with her bridesmaids and her parents, I love how supportive these girls are to each other. It was a real calm morning getting ready with a quiet sense of joy.

At the church

Meanwhile, Malc met the guys as they arrived at the church to finish setting up. Isn’t the flower arch over the church door gorgeous? I love seeing his pictures of the guests arriving and the feeling of excitement growing.

Wedding cars brought the ladies to the church and the wedding got underway. Their traditional wedding service felt really personal with lots of contributions from friends and family.

Afterwards we snuck round the back for a few pictures of the two of them as Malc lined guests up outside with confetti. Then we took some group pictures on the lawn at the front of the church. It was such a gorgeous Autumn day.

Their wedding reception at Cedar Court Hotel

We took some more couples pictures in the gardens of Cedar Court as their guests arrived and checked in to the hotel. Then made our way upstairs for the wedding reception. The room was laid out with navy and gold decorations. They had a beautiful cake and a wall of family photos. Their river table names with hand drawn illustrations are some of my favourites.

After dinner and speeches everyone headed downstairs to the bar for drinks and chats until it was time to for Pete and Frances to cut the cake. Juke Box, their band, played the first dance. Their parents joined in followed by other guests and the dance floor busy from that point on. I know it was one of Frances’ favourite parts of the day: celebrating on the dance floor with her new husband and all their friends.

At the end of the night Pete & Frances left through a tunnel of guests. They didn’t have far to go as they stayed in the hotel and got to have breakfast with most of the guests the next morning.

We loved being part of your wedding day! Thanks so much- Nom x

“You are great at capturing moments without being too intrusive. It's really easy to relax around you guys in the morning before the wedding and during the photos. Many guests told us how much they liked the photographers and a lot of them seemed to love the photo booth. And on top of all that, the photos are lovely!”
