ROLAND & CAROLINE’S WEDDING

This pair of romantics got ready in separate buildings at Ridley Hall which is where Roland was studying to become a vicar. The chaps were ready first and off to St Andrew the Great. The ladies (plus Father of the Bride, baby and a dog!) followed shortly behind.

Outside the church a brass band were playing Christmas carols and inside was filled with music for the ceremony: Caroline’s brother performed magic on his guitar before she walked down the aisle. During the ceremony the choir performed spine tingling music as Roland and Caroline signed the registers. And of course the congregation sang beautifully too!

There was ginger bread and hot drinks after the ceremony, and a big group shot in the church. Then we headed outside for a confetti tunnel to the wedding Mini and the new Mr & Mrs headed off to their wedding reception with treats for the ride. It was raining when we arrived but Caroline and Roland were super relaxed and happy to do photos with the bridal party in the reception room as guests gathered for mulled wine in the room next door.

Guests took their seats for dinner and speeches. Guests up on the mezzanine level pulling their seats closer to join in the fun. They cut the wedding cake (made by Roland!) everyone tucked into the huge collection of cakes contributed by friends.

While Nish as Rish set up for the evening guests moved next door for hot drinks. The kids kept us all entertained one running around dressed as a super hero another with a ukulele to serenade the ladies! Then the incredible band started, leading barn dancing fun after the first dance. There was a lot of fun on the dance floor and in the photo booth (check it out in the video below). Caroline changed into her Grandmas dress and got on with more dancing!

Then at the end of their wedding day guests waved sparklers to send Roland and Caroline off to their honeymoon.
