DANNY & BECCA’S WEDDING

We loved providing these two with relaxed photography of their Loughborough wedding last year. It was such a fun wedding: heaps of friends and family around and a teddy bear hunt thrown into the mix.

The wedding morning

Becca started her wedding day with a cooked breakfast made by her Dad... and I got to join in. The girls got ready all over the house with Ray, the flower girl, running between them delightedly taking it all in. Seeing her face as she got her own wedding flowers was the best.

At the same time, Malc was with the guys getting ready in a family house near to the church. Walked to church

Becca's Mum helped her into her wedding dress. I loved the calm excitement of the two of them together... and Becca's dress. She'd had a lace section added to the back and I think it absolutely makes the dress! Her lace jewellery was the perfect finishing touch and came about through a fortuitous meeting with the designer at a conference. I love all these unseen little stories behind her outfit working to bring it all together.

Wedding at Open Heaven Church

The wedding service was full of life, it started softly with the strings playing as Becca and her Dad walked the aisle behind the bridesmaids and flower girls. Then just kept on getting better with singing, vows, encouragements and prayers. Friends laid on hands of prayer including some with prayers from his parents who weren't able to travel to the UK for the wedding. There was laughter as they left the church with the veil getting stuck and her Dad stepping in as a bridesmaid to carry it. Laughter and chatter continued as everyone hugged them and chatted. Cake and drinks Their crowd were excited to send them off down the steps of the church with confetti.

They had time to catch up and chat in the wedding car as we headed to Bradgate Park for some photos. Becca told us how much she appreciated having that time for the two of them... and we totally love the photos we were able to get.

It was great you gave us "permission" to spend a bit longer at Bradgate Park and we loved having that time sat on the bench!

The reception at Mapelwell School

At Maplewell School the wedding guests were happy in the sunshine playing games outside the marquee. We gathered some relaxed family group photos before it was time to sit down for the wedding feast.

The team from Saffron Catering served up huge pans of paella for everyone to tuck in. Danny and Becca kicked off the open mic with a song and the music continued throughout the meal- and into the speeches as her brother got the men in the family to join him in a song. Her Dad made the most of his postcard collection bringing out some apt vintage messages for his wedding speech. Becca joined in the speeches too, bringing Danny to tears with a surprise message from his parents.

Danny finished off the speeches and introduced a huge highlight of this wedding... the Teddy Bear Hunt! Becca's Granny Nancy had knitted more than 30 bears personalised for each of the kids at the wedding. They just had to hunt through the grounds to find them all. She’d even made a special bride and groom pair for the newlyweds.

There were a few more rounds of crazy golf before the first dance. We loved everyone gathering around the dancefloor for their last dance and making a huge tunnel to say goodbye. What a wonderful celebration.

Happy anniversary- we love you guys! - Nom x

“ We had the most amazing day and having both of you there to capture it was the best!! It really helped doing the engagement shoot as I definitely felt more at ease. Both of you just felt like part of our wedding party rather than being our photographers.”
