Matt & Jo’s WEDDING

We had a lot of fun with these two and their friends throwing a proper party at The Ashes Barns.

Their engagement photos

wedding morning preparations

The guys started the day just down the road in the purple palace getting. The groomsmen team included Matt & Jo’s adorable nephews who really nailed the job.

Jo got ready on site where there’s the perfect little house for bridal preparations. Hair and makeup did their thing downstairs leaving the upstairs room free for putting on that stunning dress. And peaking through the tiny window looking into the ceremony space.

the ceremony

Jo and her Dad made their entrance down the aisle accompanied by the bridesmaids and her nephews, with the littlest one tucking into a croissant (the perfect bridal procession we think). We loved walking in to spot the flowers by Jo’s Aunty, she’d even made a special space for the bouquet to go while they said their vows. Live music from String Infusion washed down from the balcony for their entrance and at key points throughout the day.

After the ceremony, Matt & Jo snuck round the corner while everyone lined up to make a confetti tunnel leading to the lawn for photos overlooking the lake. Then it was time to chat and snack in the courtyard with all their guests.

The wedding breakfast at the Ashes Barns

We nipped off for some photos with just Matt & Jo as their guests took their seats for the wedding breakfast.

The meal was served in the barn, another gorgeous set up with even more flowers. They had a long top table with their most important people, the perfect spot to watch the rest of the room. Jenkinsons Caterers served up delicious sharing platters of food. There was more beautiful music from up on the balcony the guests loved getting involved in a little sing-a-long.

The speeches were beautiful and entertaining, we loved people laughing along and crying just a little.

THE PARTY

After the meal and speeches, everyone headed outside for some fresh air and to run off steam. There are highland cows to spot in the neighboring fields and gorgeous views to enjoy as you explore the grounds.

Back in the barn, the evening got going with the cake cutting and their first dance. This lot loves to dance- it was a strong dancefloor!

We set the photo booth up on the balcony upstairs (in the perfect spot near the bar!). There are lots of great spaces to relax in the evening, especially outside with the twinkling lights.
