They arrived at Sandwell Register Office together, pulling up in the car grinning and ready to go. With a small guest list, the ceremony felt warm and friendly from the start. There was plenty of laughter, knowing looks, and the kind of atmosphere that only comes with being surrounded by your closest people.
After the ceremony, everyone headed outside for family photos and a burst of confetti. One of our favourite little moments was Rita gently fixing her grandad’s buttonhole flower. She had made all the flowers herself, and we absolutely loved how they turned out.
There was a quiet pause in the afternoon as Tom and Rita gathered their parents together to share some very special news. They had only found out a few days before the wedding that they were expecting a baby, and telling their families in that moment made the day even more emotional and joyful.

We took some relaxed couple portraits around the grounds at Sandwell before heading over to The Physician in Edgbaston. With just their immediate family joining them for the wedding breakfast, the meal felt unhurried and full of conversation. The food was gorgeous, and there was plenty of time to simply sit, chat, and enjoy being together.
The Physician turned out to be the perfect spot for some editorial-style portraits. The light, the textures, and the atmosphere all worked beautifully, and Tom and Rita fully leaned into it. It felt effortless and very them.
As evening guests began to arrive, there was more time outside, catching up with family and friends before cutting the cake. A simple ending to a day that had been calm, emotional, and quietly full of love.
