Helen & Steve's Wedding at Bredenbury Court Barns
Helen and Steve both got ready on site at Bredenbury Court Barns, which always makes the whole day feel relaxed. No rushing around, just everyone settling into the rhythm of the place.
Helen spent the morning with her bridesmaids and flower girl, the room full of chatter and excitement. Sarah Jaye was on makeup, bringing her calm, lovely energy and making everyone feel completely at ease. Once Helen was dressed, she shared a first look with her dad. It felt like everything stopped for that moment.
Over in the groom room, Steve was getting ready with his groomsmen. It was easy going, with lots of laughter and a bit of last minute nerves. The lads moved into the ceremony space to take advantage of the grand mirrors then, of course, on to the bar to meet the guest.
The wedding ceremony at Bredenbury Court Barns
Helen’s dad walked her down the aisle for a simple ceremony. There were giggles from the crowd at just the right moments. We love the light in the orangery, it makes it the perfect space for a big confetti flurry as you kick off the celebrations.
Guests grabbed a glass of fizz on their way out to the lawn for a big group photo. The countryside views at Bredenbury Court Barns make the perfect backdrop for family pictures. Once the formal photos were done, everyone relaxed fully into the afternoon. Steve and his friends got stuck into the bar, the crisp wall was a clear hit, and we moved through the crowd capturing natural moments. One guest had created a personalised Monopoly game featuring places that meant something to Helen and Steve, which was such a thoughtful surprise.
We took Helen and Steve for a wander around the grounds before dinner for some quiet moments and pictures of the two of them. Their entrance into the reception room was full of energy, with guests waving napkins and cheering them in. Their magician ( Mathew Knight ) moved between tables, completely taking people in. The reactions were priceless. Shock, disbelief, and then huge laughs once the trick landed.
Dinner was delicious, and the speeches gave everyone a chance to sit back and properly enjoy it all. There were laughs, stories, and that sense of everyone being exactly where they were meant to be.
We had set up the photo booth by the front, ready to kick off after dinner. It quickly became a hub of chaos in the best way, with everyone diving in to leave photos and messages in their guest book.
After the cake cutting came the first dance, and then the DJ and sax took over. Their guests did not hold back on the dance floor. It was one of those crowds that fully commits. At the same time, there was space to step outside, grab a drink, and enjoy the warm evening air before heading back in for more.
