It was the perfect summer’s day when Katie & Steve got married. And what a location! The courtyard was excellent with a glass in hand to mingle with the wedding guests and we took photos of the newly weds at the top of the driveway looking over the sunflower field.

Katie got ready with her bridesmaids and Mum on site at Swallows Nest. There were snacks and fun chats.
“Nom and Malc made us feel comfortable from the start with the engagement shoot and on the wedding day, couldn't have done more. Our family and friends all commented on how great they were, the photos were beautiful and the photo booth was a massive hit!”
Once Katie was ready Steve arrived and knocked the door for our favourite first look to date. These two do giddy excitement perfectly. We’d highly recommend a first look if you think you might feel nervous before the ceremony, it’s a really good way of keeping the day about you two too!
The ceremony space is just across the courtyard, a short walk for the bridal party.
We loved the light flooding into the space for the ceremony. And the excitement from each of the Mums as they did their readings (fun fact: the Mums were friends before Katie and Steve met, so they were extra keen on them getting together).
Outside the fun kicked off with confetti and drinks in the sunshine. The courtyard is the perfect spot for group photos as canapes are served. It was so relaxed with Georgia singing too.
We headed to the top of the hill over looking Swallows Nest for some couples photos with Katie and Steve. It’s really easy to get sweet pictures of these two, they’re really fun together. The sunflowers were out and the sun was shining. Its a recipe for happy wedding photographers.
Back in the barn everyone was seated for the speeches and dinner. These guys had a set of four very strong speeches, which is a bit of a rare treat. We really enjoyed learning a thing or two about Katie and Steve (it was only the second time we’d met, but the speeches give you a pretty good over view of all kinds of stories). We loved watching dinner at the two long tables as the sun went down and candles began to sparkle.
Back in the courtyard after dark for firepits and sparkler fun. Then it was time for Katie and Steve to cut the cake and have their first dance. The crowd at this wedding were unstoppable on the dancefloor. Malc got his boogie on while I manned the photo booth and took some chilled photos around the venue.
These guys chose kebabs for their evening food. Lemon Zest came through with the goods. It was a tasty end to the night.
