dan and harriet’s WEDDING at the night owl, Digbeth birmingham

Their engagement photos

What a day! It was sorchingly hot and a blindingly good wedding.

wedding morning preparations

The guys were at Dan’s parents’ while the girls got ready at Dan & Harriet’s. guys at Dan’s parents. It was a lot of fun to have the kids with us. Slightly less fun being so raosting hot, but a sweet relief to get into the wedding cars with a bit of a breeze!

“Absolutely 10000000% recommend Nom & Malc! If you haven’t got Nom & Malc as your wedding photographers please reconsider!! They are so much fun and just amazing people we love you Nom & Malc you rock!!”

The service was stunning with that backdrop of stained glass and the sunshine blazing through. Chilly churches come into their own on roasting hot days too. Afterwards, the churchyard provided some shady spots for group pictures and confetti shenanigans.

their wedding reception at the night owl digbeth

We wizzed over to Digbeth for some pictures of Dan and Harriet, strolling down some graffitti’d streets. We were just taking a few pictures when a nice bloke came up to wish them congratulations. He turned out to be Curtis from The Mill and invited us up to the rooftop bar for some photos. We grabbed the rest of the bridal party to join in the fun and he poured everyone shots! Such a fun unexpected break in the day and the perfect moment for them to hang out with their favourite people.

We cracked out a few smoke bombs for incredible bridal party shots then joined the rest to the group at the Night Owl. A crisp wall and drinks might be the perfect way to greet your guests on a hot day, we thought it was spot on. The bridal party made big entrance then the good folk of West Midlands Jerk Center dished up deliciousness. I’m not sure we’ve ever seen such a happy bunch of guests.

Harriet’s wedding highlights:

“Getting ready with the girls was amazing just so CHILL!
Going out to the Mill for quiet times and drinks amazing!
Dans speech he smashed it! The giggles!
Singing with the band!”

Lots of people were chilling out on the street enjoying the sunshine, sitting on the wall in the street. They came in for the speeches from the stage then the band got going. It was incredible. Even the venue staff, who get to hear a lot of good music, were impressed.

The booth up on the mezzanine provided a fun little space to escape and watch the dancefloor antics. We got to hang out there with the kids which was fun.

Thanks for having us Dan & Harriet, it’ll take a lot to beat this wedding day! - Love, Nom & Malc x
