rich and nikita's engagement photos in digbeth

This pair showed us around their wedding venue, we chatted about the plans for the day and got to know them. Despite a whole heap of emails over their 4 wedding dates there’s nothing like getting together over a cuppa is there? They’re getting married in the middle of Digbeth so we took a stroll around the streets for some photos too.

So glad we got to take pictures with these two before they get married. It’s definitely the best way to feel comfortable in front of the camera at your wedding. It helps us too.

Steve and Jenny's engagement photos

On a roasting hot day we took a wander round some of our favourite our shady spots at the Lickey Hills with Steve and Jenny. It was too hot for them to bring their pup (gutted) but we made up for it with ice lollies.

They get married in just over a month and we’ll be sharing some previews right here ASAP after the big day.

Roughly when these photos we found out Steve went to our uni. He actually started just a couple of months after we left. Any of our Aberystwyth buddies know Steve too?

Kate and Dave's wedding photos in Birmingham and Dorridge Village Hall

We love a wedding where you can tell the bride and groom are invested in every detail, and Kate and Dave’s wedding is a perfect example. They planned a day that reflected their warm and welcoming personalities from start to finish.

Kate and the ladies had a fun time getting ready at one of their lovely bridesmaid’s houses, then the party got started at a vibrant service at their church, Oasis in Harborne, which was packed with guests.

After the service there was plenty of cake for the guests before everyone took over the road outside to shower Kate and Dave with confetti and bubbles. Our apologies and thanks to the good folk of Harborne for letting us delay your journies for a few minutes. It was worth it, we promise.

Dorridge Village Hall is right next to Dorridge Park, so we whisked Kate and Dave away for a few minutes’ peace and some quiet couples shots. Of course, because Kate and Dave are fun people, we took a little diversion to the swings.

There are so many little things we enjoyed about this wedding, but a couple of personal highlights are: eats by the lovely Pietanic (makers of the finest pies in Birmingham), tunes by the excellent Ruby Rogues, and when Kate and Dave invited all their evening guests back for the speeches. They had a roomful of standing guests, which it had a lovely vibe.

Dan and Katie's wedding at Avoncroft Museum

This weekend we had a total blast at Dan and Katie’s wedding, at the gorgeous St John The Baptist church in Feckenham and the lovely Avoncroft Museum.

After the service, everyone showered Dan and Katie and they headed off to the party at Avoncroft’s mighty New Guesten Hall. We made it to Avoncroft in time to sneak away with Dan and Katie to check out the historic buildings reconstructed on site.

Then it was back to the Hall, where the party was in full swing on the lawn, which was decked out with lights, lanterns and games.

We love weddings and we’d love to be at yours too! Click here if you want more info about our wedding package.

Weddings are made by the little moments. Some of our favourites from Dan and Katie’s are an awesome team of bridesmaids and ushers who kept the party vibe going all day, surprise train rides for the guests, crowds of spectators at the beer pong table, and plenty of mums and dads dancing. Thanks for an excellent day!

Engagement Photos at Curbar Edge in the Peak District

We always enjoy a mid-week journey into the wild, and there’s place better than the Peak District. The big open views and sheer rock faces surprise us with their beauty over and over again. For this wonderfully windswept shoot, these guys took us to their engagement spot, Curbar Edge. To add to the adventure, they’d forgotten the exact rock where Will asked the big question. None of us are totally sure we found the right rock, but we guess you’d agree it doesn’t matter because the scenery from any point at Curbar Edge is spectacular.

We try our hardest to let our couples relax and be themselves on our engagement shoots, and it was a pleasure to just take an easy stroll and enjoy the views with these guys.
