For the past few years Malc’s has had the chance to work regularly with Jericho, a Birmingham-based social enterprise doing some genuinely amazing work. What started as a set of headshots quickly turned into something much bigger, capturing all the different parts of what they do, from their cleaning teams and woodshop to their catering kitchen, building projects and head office.
It’s been one of those jobs where every time he shows up something different is happening. One day he’s photographing a team out on a cleaning job, the next he’s with the team at the Woodshack documenting their products, or at Change Kitchen while they put together some receipes. The hustle and bustle makes it really fun… and it makes for great candid images of everything they stand for.

What we’ve loved most is how people-focused everything is. There’s so much pride in the work, and such a strong sense of community across the different teams. The aim has always been to keep things natural, capturing people as they are, getting stuck into their work, chatting with each other, and just getting on with the day.

We also covered their head office and facilities, and Malc got to photograph their 30th birthday celebration too. It felt like a proper moment to pause and celebrate everything they’ve built over the years.
Across the different sessions, we’ve built up a really solid bank of images Jericho can use everywhere, across their website, social media, marketing, the lot. One of Malc’s photos even made it to a giant digital billboard promoting their work.
Working with local businesses and charities like Jericho is something we really enjoy. Being able to document the people behind the work, the stories and the finished work always feels really important.
