Edgbaston Park Hotel Wedding | David & Sandy

A heartfelt Birmingham wedding, full of worship, gratitude, and a long awaited “I do”.

Wedding morning preparations

Sandy and David’s wedding carried something really special. It was not just a celebration of a single day, but of a journey. After having to reschedule their original wedding date, this day felt deeply rooted in gratitude and relief.

Sandy got ready in Hornton Grange, which sits within the grounds of Edgbaston Park Hotel. With her maid of honour and her hair and makeup artists by her side, the morning felt calm but emotional. The wedding coordinator popped in throughout to check on her and gently steady any nerves. It was such a lovely layer of support.

The church wedding service

Malc met David at The Rock Church, where final preparations were being made for the service. There was a quiet focus about the space as the musicians rehearsed and everything came together.

Sandy arrived at the church early. From where we were - tucked away in the hallway, waiting for her entrance - you could hear the singing filling the room. It built this powerful sense of anticipation before she walked down the aisle.

The service itself was incredible. There was such an outpouring of love from everyone present. It was not just about the vows, but about thanksgiving for what the previous two years had held for them. An unexpected journey, but one that clearly shaped this moment in a profound way. The sound of worship felt like a wall around them, strong and grounding.

They shared communion together, signed the paperwork, and walked back down the aisle as husband and wife. Finally.

After the service, they took their time greeting guests, soaking up hugs and well wishes. They shared cake with everyone before they got into the wedding car and headed across Birmingham back to Edgbaston Park Hotel for the reception.

Sandy and David were welcomed with a red carpet entrance, which set a celebratory tone straight away. While guests arrived and settled in, we made the most of the gardens around the hotel for a few portraits. Edgbaston Park Hotel is such a versatile Birmingham wedding venue, with elegant interiors and beautiful outdoor space all in one place.

Inside, the reception room blended their own wedding styling with subtle Christmas decorations, creating a warm and festive atmosphere without losing that classic feel.

Food was served between speeches and tributes from family and friends. The words shared throughout the evening felt intentional and honouring, reflecting just how much support surrounds Sandy and David.

The night closed in a way that felt completely true to them. Sandy and David presented bouquets to people they especially wanted to thank and honour, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Then one of her brothers led the whole room in singing a blessing over the couple. It was a powerful, unifying moment before everyone slowly made their way home.

A Birmingham wedding that was deeply personal, full of faith, and long awaited.
