There’s a thing about some weddings that we know we love, but it’s taken us this long to be able to put it into words. It’s fingerprints. That magical quality in a wedding where you can see the care and personal touches that have gone into everything. We love weddings with fingerprints all over them, like this one at Birmingham Register Office for Carys and Lawrence.

Every moment of this day they did it their own way. They had a tiny ceremony at the Register Office. One of the smaller rooms, just the people they really wanted and a knitted silly goose as their ring bearer. They set their own dress code (and made sure goose was suitably dressed).

With the legal bits sorted, we took the whole [tiny] crowd on a little walk to the Peace Gardens for some pictures. There was time to just chat and catch up with each other in between some relaxed group photos. Then the guests set off to the dinner place while Lawrence and Carys took a stroll for some pictures just the two of them.

I love how Brummie these worked out. We managed to include a load of local spots including the Alexandra Theatre where they work. I love that their team there had put a message on the front of the building just for them. We stopped at Cherry Reds for a quick drink, another beautiful photo spot.

But I think they saved the most iconic do your wedding your way moment to the end. They took everyone to Nando’s for the wedding breakfast. That right there is a stroke of genius. No faff, no dietary requirements on RSVPs, just delicious food in the company of your favourite people. A round of applause for that move you two.
