Will & PHiz’s WEDDING, the barn at upcote

We first met Phiz and Will for pre-wedding photos in the Lickey Hills and just clicked. So we were really looking forward to this day and it didn’t disappoint.

Their engagement photos

For their pre-wedding photos we ended up sitting in our car with them chatting about all sorts of things, but mostly cheese, for about an hour while it poured with rain. Then it cleared up into a beautiful shoot.

wedding morning preparations

Will got ready at home with bacon butties and lots of his friends. It was the first reveal of his waistcoat with custom dinosaur print lining. A big debut!

Phiz got ready in an Airbnb in Cheltenham with her glorious group of friends. We delighted in her fluffy, homemade wedding socks. Then she and her Dad set off in the wedding campervan and Nom and the girls walked over to the church.

“Within about 5 minutes of our initial call with Nom and Malc we knew they were the photographers for us, no question. The two of them have been amazing from start to finish and made both our engagement shoot and our wedding day photos a breeze and a delight. By the time our wedding came around they were basically part of the family, and we had so many comments from our guests about how much they loved them. They were the best decision we could have possibly made.
Also, if they suggest using pipe cleaners as props for your photo booth, DO IT! We had an absolute blast with it.”

Christ Church is their local church, and what an incredible space to get married in. The service felt really relaxed with lots of giggles throughout. There was a huge basket full of confetti and guests lined up to chuck it as Phiz & Will left the church.

We followed the campervan to Upcote Barn and took Phiz and Will to mooch in the gardens. It’s a lot of fun getting to hang out with this goofy pair.

It was the perfect day to enjoy games on the top lawn (made by Will’s Dad!) while guests chatted and sipped on drinks. We got loads of lovely candid shots and a few more organised group photos from their list.

Did you spot all the decor made by Phiz? She’d been busy whipping up dinosaurs, staining pallets and creating all kinds of beautiful things. I loved their dinosaur-shaped place cards to match the dinosaur table names. Dinner was an excellent bangers and mash, which was just what Phiz & Will wanted.

There was a flurry of excitement out in the bar after guests were tucking into their food, one of the team had found a pheasant’s egg laid on the main path and they were plotting how to keep it safe and warm.

After the food and the speeches, it was nap time for the Bride (which should be way more common). The honeymoon sofa was reserved for her to take a break with a cuppa and an episode of Friends. Guests had time to relax with a hot drink, so everyone’s a winner, right?

For the evening we set up our photo booth in the bar. For a bit of extra fun, everyone got pipe cleaners to make DIY props. They all got creative as you’ll see in the video.

Phiz & Will cut the cake and had their first dance. Between Satellite Down (the band) and the glow stick station, the dancefloor was full of energy. Outside was a great spot to relax. People could tuck into paella or toast a marshmallow at the fire pits. A dreamy end to a really fun day.

Congratulations you two- happy anniversary! - Nom x

“Nom and Malc were the perfect photographers - they made my wife and I feel comfortable on our first shoot, and then did a phenomenal job at our wedding. Our families both commented that they did a fantastic job and they captured so many memories for both of us.”
