TOM AND CHARLOTTE’S WEDDING
Stacks Image 92079
Charlotte and her bridesmaids rented a gorgeous cottage to get ready with some of her family and their partners around. When we arrived some of the ladies were sitting outside in the sunshine putting the finishing touches to the bouquets and flower displays. Hair (by Sheena) and make up (by Anna) happened upstairs then Charlotte’s sister helped her into her dress. They made their way out into the courtyard for the big reveal to her bridesmaids and parents. Two vintage cars took the bridal party through the Cotswolds countryside to Stone Barn.

We were waiting to find out if the weather would be on our side for an outdoor ceremony- and to everyones delight when we arrived the chairs were set up ready on the lawn. They soon filled up with chattering guests and the bridal party made their entrance. There were sweet readings from siblings of the Bride and Groom (The Beatles All You Need Is Love is so much fun to read at a wedding!). The rain held off just long enough for the exchange of rings and a flutter of bubbles as the freshly married folk headed inside for a glass of fizz.

As the rain began to pour outside guests were cosied up with a glass in hand for some family photos before taking their seats for the wedding breakfast. The
Stone Barn staff served up sumptuous platters of food for each table to share. Then the speeches got underway with warm words and teasing jibes from Tom and Charlotte’s Dads, followed by a firmly tongue in cheek telling off from Tom’s Mum. Tom took a moment to set the record straight before being humiliated again by his Best Man. They all spoke fondly of this adventurous pair.

The sun was shining again, so after the speeches guests enjoyed hot drinks outside as venue staff lit the fire pits for marshmallow toasting after the sun went down. The Best Man was also the Best DJ for the night and managed to fill the dance floor with great tunes.
