Sam & Clare's Wedding

This wedding was, a highlight of our year. Lots of our favourite people were involved in creating and celebrating this epic occasion.

The boys kicked off the day the only way they should: big breakfast at Best Man Ben’s house. Sam got into all his fancy gear and it looks like they had a  lot of laughs, doesn’t it. Throw three Bens into the mix and it seems inevitable.

The girls headed to Bad Apple for hair dressing and champagne before finishing off their preparations back at Clare’s house. Neighbours came out to greet the bride before she hopped (elegantly!) into her wedding jeep.

The service took place at Duke Street Church with loads of friends and family to cheer them on. The bridesmaids were joined by little Rebecca who did a very cute job of leading them all down the aisle to [a fairly emotional] Sam. Once the service was completed and guests had been embraced we all headed off to the reception.

Shustoke Farm Barn was the perfect setting for the reception: a recently converted rustic barn with great food and a fantastic atmosphere after dark. Weathered brick walls provided a great back drop for family group shots and the photo booth. Guests mingled in the courtyard with beautiful 300 year old olive trees while they ate canapés and we took some more shots of Sam & Clare.

Waitresses served up large sharing dishes to each table for the wedding breakfast then the speeches got underway. Clare's Dad even sang them a song he'd written.

Clare's brother Murray kicked off the evening with
this amazing song he mixed for their first dance, which set the tone perfectly for the fun that was about to start on the dance floor. The night went on with live music from The Peas and more DJing from Murray.

There were bacon butties and laughter. Then Sam & Clare made their escape through a huge tunnel of friends to their jeep and set off into the dark with lights flashing as they drove away.

We loved the following people’s contributions:
Bad Apple were really friendly hair dresses. Sam’s mum made a truly scrumptious wedding cake. Shustoke Farm Barn is a stunning venue and the staff are really helpful. Lily White arranged great bouquets, which were just as Clare wanted them. Els designed the sweet stationary and the brother of the Bride, Murray composed their first dance song. [So many thank yous, told you we loved it!]
