David and Kate got ready separately at the Copthorne Hotel in Sheffield
. Kate’s cheerful bridesmaids came armed with snacks and a Disney playlist to set the tone. It was a lovely relaxed time getting ready with a great view across Sheffield.
David had time to pop out for a Subway sandwich before getting ready with the guys. They headed over to Bradfield Village Hall
with plenty of time before the ceremony, so they had a snack from the ice-cream before things got stated. Kate and her Dad arrived in the wedding car ready and everything was ready to do!
It was a short ceremony with light hearted readings from friends then everyone gathered outside to make a tunnel of bubbles for the newlyweds. They took the chance to say hello to their guests and grab some family photos as everyone enjoyed the summer sun. We snuck a short break by the reservoir for some quiet moments and photos with David and Kate alone.
They arrived back for their BBQ wedding breakfast. Guests went outside to pick up their food then found their seats inside for the speeches. Their two best men formed a very effective duo with one providing censorship for the other- and much hilarity for the rest of us.
It was a warm evening outside, so guests sat and chatted while the room was transformed for dancing. David and Kate even had a bounce on their wedding space hoppers! The musicians (two of their friends) struck up a song and the dancing was fun into the night.
