This was such an emotional day with lots of people pulling together to make it magical in a short amount of time!
The boys got ready at Dave’s Mum’s house and had quite a drive over to Castell Coch
for the ceremony. The ladies gathered at Gina’s Grandma’s house with lots of extended family around. There were plenty of people to help her into the dress she had chosen just days before- and it fit beautifully. Her Father drove us to Castell Coch and we were all ready to get started!
The ceremony room is intimate but spectacular with ornate decorations and space for all your closest friends. It was a short walk down the aisle for Gina and her Dad then Dave and Gina exchanged their vows and rings. The whole room was delighted! They signed the registers and everyone walked down to the front of the castle- a stunning backdrop for some group shots. We snuck off for some shots with the couple while the others explored the castle.
They held their reception at St Fagan’s Museum
and we started off with some group shots as soon as everyone arrived. There was a tasty buffet laid on by the St Fagan’s staff and just one special speech from the Mother of the Groom with all her fond memories of both Dave and Gina as she’s seen them both grow up since their school days. Then whole group chatted over tea and cakes.
There was time to look around the grounds and get some newlywed pictures before everyone headed home.
