Team bride (two bridesmaids and bridesman Jason) got ready at Sarah and Chris’ house. Her parents arrived for a glass of fizz before the journey to church. Meanwhile the guys were in a hotel nearby getting ready in time to head to the church and meet the guests.
The wedding cars arrived at Holy Trinity Stratford
and tourists were delighted to see the bride as she walked down the tree lined avenue outside this famous church. Rev Nicky was waiting to meet us and lead the procession down the aisle. Inside the solemn setting she lead them through a warm ceremony as sunlight streamed in through the windows. They exchanged vows and rings then signed register at top of church, near Shakespeare’s final resting place.
Everyone spilled out into the sunshine for group photos to the sound of wedding bells. Lots of tourists wish them well as they passed, and others wave from boats on the river. The newly weds even got a mention from a tour guide.
With glasses of champagne in hand they were driven over to Swallows Nest Barn- and greeted with more bubbles by staff when they arrived. Guests gathered in the courtyard to chat over canapés and drinks before it was time to take their seats for speeches and food.
In the evening the DJs filled the dance floor with happy dancers and kept the party going until long after dark. Click play below for all the antics in the photo booth! Click here for their engagement shoot at Edgbaston Reservoir in the most gorgeous sunshine…
