Tara and her mum had a lovely time getting ready together on the morning of her wedding. We went to her regular hairdresser and then on to a friend’s house for her make up. Back at her parents house we were joined by the sweetest flower girl and page boy. Once Tara was ready in her dress we headed off to the church with her Dad in beautiful vintage car. Meanwhile, the boys got ready in a youth hostel nearby, they had time for a few games of pool before making their own way to the church.

It was very special for Tara to hold the ceremony in her family’s church- with all the special memories it holds- now filled with flowers, friends and family for the wedding. After the vows a choir, which Alex had been part of at University, sang as newly weds signed the registers with their witnesses.

After the ceremony we gathered everyone for photos on the church lawn then made our way to Conkers for some photos of Tara and Alex… with the on-site train! Their guests tracked us down while we were by the lake and demanded to throw confetti before making their way indoors. After a very friendly receiving line guests took their seats for the wedding breakfast and speeches.

The DJ got the night started with the first dance:
Like a Bridge over Troubled Water, then the crowd joined in with some very entertaining dancing. There was lots of fun and giggles, on the dance floor and in the photo booth. After the evening buffet Tara and Alex changed into their leaving outfits and ran through a tunnel of their guests to a big surprise. Some sneaky guests had been outside to decorate the getaway car with cling film and balloons!
